Neuchâtel Mastic Asphalt Podium Terrace System
In cases where Neuchâtel Mastic Asphalt is used as exposed paving subjected to foot traffic only, it is applied in two coats with a nominal thickness of 25mm. The initial coat is laid to a thickness of 10mm, followed by the second coat of 15mm, incorporating 15% by weight of coarse aggregate.
For situations where insulation is incorporated beneath Neuchâtel Mastic Asphalt on balconies and terraces, or when point loading is expected, promenade surfacing should be provided using suitable concrete tiles or paving slabs.
